How to List Your Number in the 411 Directory

The 411 Directory is a valuable tool for small businesses and people who want the outside public to be able to contact them. To have your number listed in the 411 directory makes it easier for people to contact you for your services and products. It is free to be listed and takes a few minutes to fill out a form online.

List Yourself

Open a browser.

Go to the 411 List Yourself website (see Resources).

Hit the "Click Here to be Listed" link on the home page.

Fill out the form on the next page. Hit the drop down menus to choose your type of phone and your service provider.

Use the radio button in the bottom section to choose how you want your number to be validated. Click the "Add Listing" button.

Answer the phone when it rings if you asked for the system to call you for validation in Step 5. Dial the phone number given on the next page to validate your number if that was your option in Step 5.

Fast 411

Open a browser.

Go to the Fast 411 website (see Resources).

Click the "Add or Update a Free Listing" button. Enter your phone number on the next page. Click the "Lookup" button.

Click the "Add this number" link on the next page. Enter the information on the form page that appears.

Hit the "Add" button on the page. Enter a keyword in the appropriate field. A drop down menu will appear. Find the category that fits your listing and click on it. Click the "Save" button.
