3Compare your own page rank with that of your closest competitor. If you find that your competitor has a greater page rank, visit an online keyword tool to learn which words are boosting the rival's page rank. You then can use similar keywords.
4Boost your website's search engine optimization (SEO) by adding keywords to new articles. For example, if you were looking to increase your placement in online searches for the keywords "umbrella widget," adding those words to the title and periodically in the body could help.
5View the source code for a given page on your web site. To view a web page's source code in Internet Explorer, select "View" and then "Source." Search engines, especially Google, view the H1 tag (the title tag) as critical to good SEO and web page optimization. If the title to your blog post or web page doesn't have the H1 tag, you will need to change it.
