Parents who want to restrict their children's web-surfing have a few options. Browsers provide useful tools for oversight when you are concerned about inappropriate material. To deploy one of these solutions takes about five minutes.
Instructions
Internet Explorer

Launch your Internet Explorer browser.
2Select Tools in the main menu bar. Scroll down and click Internet Options.
3Click the Content tab and then click the "Enable" button. Click the Approved Sites tab.
4Type in the full Web address of the site that you want to block. Hit the "Never" button.
5Click the "Apply" button. Hit the "OK" button. Restart your browser.
Firefox

Launch your Firefox browser.
7Go to the Inspired Effect site (see Resources).
8Click the "Download Now" button. Put a check mark in the box next to "I have read, understand and agree to the End-User License Agreement stated above."
9Click the "Click here to Download Now!" link and then the "Install Now" button.
10Click Tools in the main menu bar. Scroll down and select Foxfilter Settings.
11Click the Blocked tab on the page that appears. Enter into the Keywords field the address of the website that you want blocked. Click the "Save changes" button.
