How to Use Numrange on LinkedIn

The "numrange" search command for the Google search engine allows users to narrow search results to a range of numbers. LinkedIn is a professional online network that contains detailed profile and career information for more than 100 million people worldwide. To use the Google numrange search function on LinkedIn, you will need to perform a search of the site using the Google's site search command along with the numrange command. For example, if you wanted to find LinkedIn users who worked for a certain organization between two known dates, you could use the Google numrange command on LinkedIn to get this information.

Instructions

    1

Launch your Web browser, and go to Google.com.

    2

Type "site:linkedin.com" into the search input box to command Google to restrict the search only to LinkedIn. Add any specific search keywords -- for example, organization or company names.

    3

Enter the numrange command, which you should write as two sequential numbers separated by two periods. For example, if you wanted to search for all references to the Coca-Cola company relevant to the period between 1970 and 1990, the full search string to enter into Google would be: "site:linkedin.com coca-cola 1970..1990"

    4

Click "Enter" on your computer's keyboard to launch the search. Access the relevant LinkedIn page from the returned search results by clicking the link in the Google search results.
