If your family is looking to purchase an RV soon, then you may want to check out craigslist. This is a website that has classified ads posted for your local home town. Follow these steps to buy an RV from craigslist.

Log onto the craigslist website.
2Click on the state or city that you live in on the left hand side of the home page. This will then take you to all subjects that are local to your area.
3Find the RV section in the middle of the page towards the bottom and click on it. This will show all the current classified ads for RVs being sold in your area. You can narrow your search by price or enter a keyword of the item you want to buy at the top of the page.
4Contact the person selling the RV that you have chosen. You can do this by either emailing them or phoning them, depending on the contact information they have listed on craigslist. Tell them you want to buy an RV and that you saw their advertisement on craigslist.
5Make arrangements to meet the person selling the RV on craigslist. Be sure to meet during daylight hours so you can get a good look at the RV before you offer to buy it. Be sure to ask if there has been any accidents with the RV or if there are any leaks that may cause water damage. Also be sure that everything inside and out is in working order such as the refrigerator, stove and bathroom.
6Buy the RV. Give the people a personal check or a money order to show proof of monies exchanged. You will need this and a bill of sale to take to the Department of Motor Vehicles to transfer the title into your name.
