The Internet is filled with thousands of business opportunities. Each one promises to be bigger, better and easier than all of the others. However, the hardest part of making money with an Internet business opportunity is generating enough traffic to the main product or service being offered. Conversion rates, the percentage of visitors that become buyers, are usually in the 1 to 2 percent range. That means that most products need at least 100 visitors to make one sale. There are three main traffic-generation methods that have been proven to be very effective.
Instructions
Article Marketing
- 1
Create an informational article about the business opportunity with between 300 and 500 words.
2Create a separate section, known as a "resource box," that entices the reader to read more information. Insert a link to the business opportunity sales page using a "call to action" phrase, e.g. "To find out more about how to solve your problem, CLICK HERE." The words "CLICK HERE" are where the link to the product is contained.
3Open an Internet browser, search for "article directories" and select one (see Resources).
4Sign up for an account with the article directory and press the "Submit Article" button.
5Copy the main body of the article to the appropriate box and copy the resource box to the "Author Bio" section.
6Type a short description and choose keywords that relate to the main business opportunity.
7Follow the onscreen instructions to submit the article.
Video Marketing
- 8
Create a promotional video for the business opportunity. This can be a testimonial video recorded with a video camera or a product review using screen capture software and the sales website.
9Open an Internet browser and search for video distribution sites (see Resources).
10Sign up for an account at the video distribution site and any additional accounts required to distribute the video to multiple sites.
11Press the "Upload Video" button or similar and select the video file created in Step 1.
12Type a title for the video that contains at least one keyword that relates to the business opportunity. Enter multiple titles if supported by the video distribution site.
13Type a description of the video that uses a variety of keywords related to the business opportunity and a URL link to the business opportunity website. Enter multiple descriptions if supported by the video distribution site.
14Enter all of the related keywords possible for the "Tags" field.
15Save the changes and follow the onscreen instructions to begin distributing the video to multiple video sharing sites.
Pay Per Click Marketing
- 16
Open an Internet browser and search for a Pay-Per-Click (PPC) advertising network (see Resources).
17Join the PPC network and follow the onscreen instructions to create an ad.
18Choose a title for the ad that contains a keyword related to the business opportunity.
19Write a short ad that entices the viewer to click for more information.
20Insert the URL of the business opportunity sales page.
21Choose an appealing image for the ad (if supported by the ad network).
22Choose the demographics that the ad should target (if supported by the ad network).
23Choose the maximum amount that each click should cost. This will affect the position in which the ad will be seen as well as how often.
24Confirm the information and submit the ad.
