If you have a website you want it to be found. One of the ways that search engines look for your website is by reading the HTML Metafile Tags. If your website has keywords listed in its Metafile Tags there is a chance you'll get more hits. The key is to use your Metafile Tags correctly and not let them go to waste.
Instructions
- 1
Open your web page to "Edit." You need to be able to manipulate the HTML coding if you want to control your Metafile Tags.
2Go to the Head of your web page. This is the HTML that doesn't appear on the actual page itself, except the Title. It should look like this:
Below
And aboveManipulate the first Metafile Tag by typing the web page's description inside of the quotation marks. For example:This web page is about how to use html tags from flash to metafiles. Keep if brief and relevant.
5Manipulate the second Metafile Tag by typing keywords about the web page inside of the quotation marks. For example:This web page's keywords are html, flash, metafile, tag, paragraph and so on. Once again, keep them relevant.
6Save your progress.
7View the page. Make sure the tags are all hidden. Incorrectly coded HTML can show up on a web page and look unprofessional.
