How to Recycle a Battery Container

How to Recycle a Battery Container

Batteries are made of heavy metals (nickel, lead, cadmium) that can damage the environment, lakes and streams due to the corrosive acids they discharge. These acids can also burn your skin or harm your eyes. Consequently, the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency considers batteries as hazardous waste that must be recycled properly. A battery container helps you store batteries you are planning to recycle while complying with universal waste regulations. When you are ready to recycle your battery container, you can use the Internet to swiftly find a battery recycling center in your area.
