The U.S. Border Patrol is a part of the U.S. Department of Homeland Security. Border patrol agents are responsible for patrolling and securing thousands of miles of borders in the United States. In Vermont, agents patrol along the U.S. border with Canada. All border patrol jobs are considered federal government jobs and they are required to be posted and applied to via the government's jobs website.

Log on to the USA Jobs site's U.S. Customs and Border Patrol page to look for border patrol jobs (see Resources). By law, all government job openings are posted on the USAJobs.gov site.
2Search for U.S. Customs and Border Protection jobs in Vermont by narrowing your search. In the Location Search section, select "VT" or one of the specific areas of Vermont in the list. You can also enter keywords or search by specific occupations or jobs within those sections.
3View the search results and click on your desired job to apply for that job. The entire application process is online and you can submit documents like transcripts or resumes online as part of the application process.
